Yeah, I figured as much since packs here are around $4-5 with only 5 cards in a pack. I just didn’t know if any specific trial decks sucked any less than the others.
Well, depending on where you can get them and if you can get them at a local gamestore, they’re usually about 3.50 and you can probably get a little discount or something. And besides, at least in vanguard you’re guaranteed to a rare per pack so it’s a better ratio than other games (not to mention most cards in packs are actually useful)
But yeah, just read up on the clans that have Trial Decks and choose one you’d think you would like to play based off of that.
Right now there are English Trial Decks for Royal Paladins, Kageros, Nova Grapplers, Oracle Think Tanks, Gold Paladins (two different decks), Narukami (two different decks), Aqua Force, and I think that is it as of right now but I know Star-vaders are getting a Trial Deck sent over her by February at the latest. tbh I would recommend about any of them other than the Aqua Force one since the Aqua Force cards are harder to get, but OTT and Narukami’s are very expensive clans if you decide to try to make tournament decks.
wait- why is your starter lulu when you’re running amaterasu? ._. wouldnt lozenge magus be better???
-1 when I boost with her despite getting the +1 with Forerunner. Even though I would have four Heals in the deck again, Lulu just seems much better since I get her as a booster as soon as I Ride Grade 3 and I get to draw.
I just have to wait two more turns, but I get more out of her than Lozenge.
Edit: I also do not plan on even getting my Megablast off regularly. You kinda just use CEO for the divination aspect of her anyway so I don’t lose anything in that respect. Though yeah, if I try to Megablast it’ll be that much harder.
I’ve actually just started picking up vanguard to play casually with my girlfriend. Do you have any recommendations on what to get?
Singles. Just fucking start with singles.
Trial Decks on average are about $17 if you don’t order online and most of the cards in there aren’t too good… Well, at least in fully competitive decks.
But yeah, if you just want to try it out at first, just order a Trial Deck online for each of you. You can get two for about $30 and not shipping and handling off Amazon depending on the decks you get.
